The machine cleans the planks used on a building site and comprises a lower fixed frame (1) provided with a pair lower rollers (4, 5). An upper frame (9) is mobile in this fixed frame and carries a pair of upper rollers (10, 11) directly above. The distance between upper and lower rollers is adjustable, using threaded rods (15) and handwheels (16), the gap depending on the thickness of the planks (8) for cleaning. All rollers are driven by the same chain (3), using a motor (2) and an adjustable tensioner (18). A scraper (19, 20) is used each side of the planks, this being a spring steel leaf fitted with hard blades.
