A toothbrush used to clean a portion between adjacent teeth, and a boundary region between the tooth and the gum, i.e. portions of the teeth on which residual of food and dental plaque are apt to deposit. This toothbrush consists of a handle (31), and a bundle of bristles (33) made separately from the handle, the diameter of the top surface of said bundle being less than that of a tooth, the handle (31) having a holder portion (32) into which the bristles (33) are inserted detachably. Every time the toothbrush is used, the bristles (33) can be inserted into the handle (31) readily and, after the brushwork, the bristles (33) can be removed from the handle (31) and discarded, so that no bristle-washing operation is required. During the use of the toothbrush, the tips of the bristles (33) can be abutted against a recess between adjacent teeth so that the corresponding portions of the teeth can be satisfactorily cleaned. |
