PURPOSE:To lighten an electromagnetic equipment without damaging electrical characteristics by forming the width of a side leg and of a yoke leg for a core, of the joining section between a central leg and the yoke leg, and of the joining section between the side leg and the yoke leg to be approximately a half of the width of central leg. CONSTITUTION:The width of side legs 17 and yoke legs 18 for a core 12, of the joining sections between a central leg 16 and the yoke legs 18 and of the joining sections between the side legs 17 and the yoke legs 18 is shaped approximately a half of that of the central leg 16. That is, the joining sections 19 between the central leg 16 and the yoke legs 18 for the core 12 and the joining sections 20 between the side legs 17 and the yoke legs 18 are made approximately the same as the width of the side legs 17 or the yoke legs 18 in the joining sections 19, 20, thus lessening the weight of the core. Magnetic flux density in the joining sections 19, 20 at that time is made approximately the same as the side legs 17 and the yoke legs 18, and hardly has an effect on the electrical characteristics.
