A laminate for printed circuit board is prepd. by thermalpressing of a resinous prepreg having catalytic nucleating agent. The prepreg is made by impregnating a base material in the mixt. of resin and varnish, where nucleating agent (1) such as organic metal salt (2) is dispersed in surfactant (3) for non-electro plating. (2) is one of Pd-contg. acetyl aceton complex salt of 8 or 1B metal. (3) is anionic or nonionic surfactant. The amt. of (1) is 0.001-1% by weight. The pH or the mixt. of resin and varnish is 6-8.
