发明名称 JIG FOR FIRING CERAMICS
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable rapid firing without reaction with the substance to be fired and increase spalling resistance by combining crystalline alumina fibers of an alumina content over a specific value with aluminum titanate and specifying the bulk density. CONSTITUTION:The subject jig is a composite material of a bulk density of 1.0 to 2.5g/cm<3>, which comprises crystalline alumina fibers of more than 95% alumina content, and the voids or pores of the fiber skeletons are filled with a powder of aluminum titanate. Less than 95% alumina content in the alumina fibers cannot manifest satisfactory strength by crystallization in the heat treatment. Since the thermal conductivity of an aluminum titanate powder is large, the powder is excellent in spalling resistance. Further, its high strength can developed in no need of any auxiliary agents and the reaction with the substance to be fired can be avoided. The particle size of the powder is preferably 0.5 to 200mu. Excessively high bulk density deteriorates the spalling resistance, while excessively low bulk density lowers the creep properties.
