PURPOSE: To increase the speed of distortion deformation processing used in a visual check automatizing device by using distortion deformation equations to calculate U and V values of individual picture elements of an X-Y plane and determining a gray scale near calculated U and V points. CONSTITUTION: Distortion deformation equations I and II are used to calculate U and V values of individual picture elements of the X-Y plane, and a gray scale near calculated (U, V) points is determined. In these equations, (n) and (m) are positive numbers equal to orders of distortion deformation, and A and B are distortion deformation coefficient matrixes or (n+1)×(m+1). Each point (U, V) in a distorted picture 10 corresponds to one point (X, Y) in a golden picture 12. The picture 12 can be distorted and deformed by defining a pair of distortion deformation functions where the point (U, V) is a function of the point (X, Y). These functions are used to form a distorted deformed picture 16. When the picture 10 is formed into the picture by distortion and deformation, (X, Y) is taken as a function of (U, V) to form a distorted deformed picture 14. After completion of distortion and deformation, the distorted deformed picture is compared with the corresponding picture which is not distorted neither deformed. |
