PURPOSE:To enhance the extent of rigidity against lateral load as well as improve the degree of freedom in a layout for a rear-wheel steering gear by connecting rach of rising longitudinal sides at both symmetrical sides of a cross member with a wall member, and supporting the rear-wheel steering gear on this wall member. CONSTITUTION:A cross member 2 connecting an interval between body frames at both sides is formed into an upward U-shaped form and attached to the frame 1. A wall member 9 is installed between upward U-shaped longitudinal sides 2a, 2a and connected to each other tightly, through which the cross member 2 is reinforced against lateral load so that its rigidity is enhanced. A rear- wheel differential 10 is set up in front of the wall member 9 and a rear-wheel steering gear in the rear, respectively. This rear-wheel steering gear 11 is attached to the wall member 9 by a U-shaped clip band 24 at two symmetrical spots. Accordingly, another member supporting this steering gear becomes disused and the degree of freedom in a layout is thus improved. |
