<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently produce gaseous methane by providing a bioreactor packed with a carrier, a methanol vaporizing vessel, an methanol vapor introducing pipe to the under part of the carrier and a recirculating pipe line for a water containing bacteria from the under part to the upper part of the carrier to enable to apply in the case of high methanol conc. CONSTITUTION:The water 6 containing bacteria in the bioreactor 1 is introduced to the recirculating pipe line 3 by operating a pump 12, is spouted to face of the carrier 7 from a spouting opening of a spouting pipe 9 to execute showering. In the bioreactor 1, the methanol vapor introduced from the methanol vaporizing vessel 2 through the introducing pipe 4 passes to upstream side through the carrier 7 and is decomposed to generate gaseous methane by coming into contact with methane producing bacteria. One part of gaseous methane is recovered by a recovering pipe 8. The remaining part of gaseous methane is fed to the vaporizing vessel 2 through a feeding pipe 5 to bubble and vaporize the methanol. The methanol vapor is efficiently brought into contact with the methane producing bacteria fixed on the carrier 7.</p> |
