PURPOSE:To enable an error-free communication using a radio error control function at the time of communication between the conventional cable facsimile equipment and the radio facsimile equipment. CONSTITUTION:A FAX communication control part 27 which executes communication by the G3 standard communication procedure and a main control part 20 which controls the operation of the FAX communication control part 27 and a radio communication control part 28 are provided in a facsimile communication adapter 2 to be added to a cable reference FAX equipment 1. The main control part 20 discriminates the opposite party at the connection procedure step before starting the message communication and is switched to the communication through the radio communication control part 28 according to the opposite party.
