发明名称 OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING METHOD AND OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE: To enable bit-edge recording which shows enough jitter characteristics for practical use when a medium is repeatedly used and to obtain good image quality by using a Ge-Te-Sb-Al alloy of a specified compsn. CONSTITUTION: This optical information recording medium is a phase transition type optical information recording medium consisting of a substrate and a recording layer. The recording layer consists of at least four elements of germanium(Ge), antimony(Sb), tellurium(Te) and aluminum(Al), and the compsn. of these four elements is expressed by general formula I. Sequences of codes generated by converting the recording information according to the coding rule are recorded corresponding to the position of the front edges and rear edges of recording marks in the medium. When the signals in the optical information recording medium thus obtd. are reproduced, the bit error rate is low enough for practical use.
