Cutting head for mfg. wood chips in wood shredding machine

The cutting head (10) has a cylindrical body(20) which is held and rotated on a shaft. A first set of removable cutters (40,42,44,46) are attached at intervals around the circumference of the body and have their cutting edges aligned with the surface of the cylinder. A second set of removable cutters are attached at intervals to the end face (10a) of the body with their cutting edges in a plane at right angles to the axis of rotation of the body. All the cutting edges in each set lie in the same plane. The first set of cutters produce a smooth working surface on the side of the tree trunk while the second set splits the wood paring removed by the first set.
