Synthetic material (I), contg. a reaction resin (II) and fillers consisting of strips, chips or granules of residues and waste fractions or of various used materials which are non- biodegradable or biodegradable only with difficulty (III), and with blowing agents (at least) (IV) added to resin (II) to produce a foam structure in the hardened material. Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of (I).
