<p>A pitch k of dot forming elements is represented by a value that can be expressed as a product m . n of two integers m, n (m, n are integers not smaller than 2). Vertical scanning feed is realized by a plurality of vertical scanning feed sets each consisting of m vertical scanning feeds. When the feed quantity of m vertical feed scannings of one vertical scanning feed set is Li dots (where i is an integer from 1 to m), the following relations (1) and (2) hold: (1) the remainder of the division of the feed quantity Li of the first to (m-1)-th vertical scanning by k is equal to the integer n; and (2) the remainder of the division of the feed quantity Lm of the m-th vertical scanning by k is an integer different from n . j (where j is an arbitrary integer).</p> |
