PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a specific random number value from being generated cyclically by switching an M-series generation expression to another M-series generation expression in order or at random with a trigger signal indicating the end of one cycle on condition that each M-series generation expression is used only for one cycle. SOLUTION: An n-stage shift register and base point data generating means 1 has M-series generation expressions by determining the insertion position of a control gate and a random number output stage for a series of (n) stages of shift registers by making use of a cross-point switch. Then M-series generation expressions are generated respectively only for one cycle by an M-series corresponding cycle setting circuit 3, a counter 4 which generates an update trigger, and an M-series selection register 5. Further, an M-series expression selecting means 6 functions to switch the M-series generation expressions in order or at random. Consequently, the load of software is reduced and a random number having a specific acyclic random number value which can be controlled by a microcomputer for a game machine can be provided. |
