<p>The present invention relates to the field of human medicine and more specifically to dermatology, and in particular to a composition developed for the stimulation of the synthesis of the melanic pigment of the skin, and consequently for the treatment of vitiligo. The technical object of the present invention is to provide a composition of a natural product useful in the treatment of vitiligo, which has no toxic effects and no relapse. The composition which has been obtained stimulates the synthesis of the melanic pigment of the skin and the reproduction of melanocytes as it was demonstrated through pharmacological assays to which the composition was subjected, producing no serious secondary reaction at all as demonstrated through toxicological, teratological and clinical assays which have been carried out; the resulting product can be easily obtained and applied, the repigmenting effect starts rapidly after initiating the treatment, said effect being irreversible when stopping its application. The color acquired is identical to the color of areas of normal skin of the patient, but said areas do not increase further the intensity of their coloration after the product has been applied. The product which is obtained can also be used for the treatment of any depigmentation process of the skin, for example depigmentation caused by burns.</p> |
