PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize which processor accesses which area and whether a bank concerned should be switched or not without being conscious of the queuing operation of bank switching processing and to guarantee synchronization between only processors trying to perform access. SOLUTION: In a bank switching system including memory banks 10, 20 allowed to be accessed from plural processors 1 to 3 and an external controller 30 and a memory controller for controlling a target memory band to be accessed from the processors 1 to 3 and the external controller 30, each of the processors 1 to 3 is provided with a switching request flag to be set up when a bank switching request is inputted from the corresponding processor. In response to the set states of all the flags, the memory bank to be accessed is controlled so as to be switched.
