PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation monitoring device for monitoring devices and detecting abnormality on the basis of the periodical connection of each device to be performed in accordance with a periodical connection condition for performing periodical connection set up in each device. SOLUTION: The operation monitoring device for monitoring the operation states of plural devices connected through a network is provided with a recording means for recording a periodical connection condition indicating a condition for periodically connecting a device informed of through the network out of plural devices corresponding to the device and an abnormality detection means for individually monitoring the periodical connection from each of plural devices on the basis of the periodical connection condition of each device recorded by the recording means and detecting the abnormality of the device.
