PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize recording/reproducing accesses having the high degree of freedom to plural recording media. SOLUTION: Plural recording media in which physical addresses are allocated to recording areas are managed in common by one logical address system. In the case of accessing the recording media by referring to the logical address system, a recording medium to be accessed out of plural recording media is discriminated from the value of a logical address to be accessed, the logical address to be accessed is converted into the physical address of the recording medium to be accessed and the recording medium to be accessed is accessed by the converted physical address. Since plural recording media are used as one recording medium of large capacity, recording/reproducing accesses having the high degree of freedom to plural recording media can be realized.
