PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet for ink jet recording with such advantages that no cracks are developed, surface glossiness and ink absorption are high, a high-density image is formed with excellent color development properties, the resistance to light, water and gas is superb and the oozing of ink over time after conservation is inhibited. SOLUTION: The sheet for ink jet recording is characterized in that a reaction product between a polymer having at least one of the units represented by the formulae (1) and (2) and a chemical compound represented by the formula (3) Y-Z1 is added. (In the formula (3), Y is a group which forms a bond through a chemical reaction with an amino group and Z1 is a heterocyclic atomic group including nitrogen which may have a 3-membered ring including N-X. X is a hydrogen atom, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an oxyradical group, a hydroxyl group or a group which produces an imino group or a hydroxylimino group by hydrolysis). |
