PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client with latency time taken until the client starts receiving contents when the client requests the contents from a server in contents distribution. SOLUTION: In this method for distributing contents to clients from a center server using a communication network through which the center server and an edge server are connected to each other by a communication line that can guarantee communication capacity, when a contents request from the client is inputted to the center server, the send-out order of requested contents is determined to hold a reservation list that indicates the order, and latency time until the transmission start of the requested contents is computed on the basis of the registered contents of the reservation list. Latency time information is transmitted to the client through the edge server, and the contents are transmitted from the center.
