PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable recording material having high sensitivity and high image quality and free of the deterioration of performance in a hot atmosphere. SOLUTION: In the heat developable recording material having a recording layer containing an organic silver salt, photosensitive silver halide and a thermally working reducing agent on one face of a transparent base and having a dye-containing layer on the opposite face, a compound of formula (1) is contained in at least one layer on the face with the dye-containing layer.
