PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a downsizable remote I/O and an electric rolling stock using it. SOLUTION: The remote I/O is equipped with a relay switching circuit which can sequentially switch two or more different input signals within a vehicle, an interface circuit which converts the input signal switched by the above relay switching circuit, a register which records the data converted by the above interface circuit, and a parallel/serial converter which converts the data stored in the above register serially prior to transmission.
