PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device which prevents ink from bleeding in the border part and reduces the incidence of th bleeding by using the ink having a low density of solid matter for pixels near the border, when an image having the color border is recorded in a material in which the image is recorded. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording device, a row of nozzles in the main scan direction D1 of an ink jet head which discharges color inks are arranged side by side in the order of black BK, light magenta LM, magenta M, cyan C, light cyan LC and yellow Y. When the image is printed by discharging inks of the cyan C and the magenta M corresponding to a first color (cyan) of a first pixel and a second color (magenta) of a second pixel respectively and overlapping a first dot and a second dot on a sheet S, the inks to be printed for the first dot and the second dot to be overlapped are discharged in such a fashion that the ink of the cyan C is replaced by the ink of the light cyan LC and the ink of the magenta M by the ink of the light magenta LM respectively.
