PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of accurately calculating an angular velocity signal with reduced influence of an ambient temperature. SOLUTION: An apparatus of calculating angular velocity includes an input means for inputting an output signal from an angular velocity sensor and a calculating means for calculating the angular velocity based on the output signal. The calculating means sets a signal level of the output signal at a time point of starting to detect the angular velocity as a reference level and starts calculation of the angular velocity. For example, it sets a signal level Va1 of the output signal L1 at a time T0 to start detecting the angular velocity as the reference level and starts calculation of the angular velocity.
