PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the attachment and detachment of a cleaning part cleaning a belt member, while positioning the cleaning part with respect to the belt member. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, when a cleaner for an intermediate transfer body 70 is attached to an intermediate transfer device 56, a portion to be guided 108 is guided by a guide portion 96, to be approximately linearly moved, because the width of the upper portion of the portion to be guided 108 is larger than that of a cut groove 100. When the portion to be guided 108 is guided by the guide portion 96 and reaches an open part in which movement is not regulated, an operator rocks the cleaner for the intermediate transfer body 70 around a support shaft portion 106, so that a blade 72 and a seal member 73 come into contact with the intermediate transfer body 58 at a predetermined angle, and fixes the cleaner for the intermediate transfer body 70 to the bearing portion of a first stretching roll 64 by a fixing member, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
