DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SELECTIVE BROADCASTING USING THE SAME

A DVR system and a selective broadcasting method thereof are provided to broadcast only a channel which a host requests selectively, thereby efficiently preventing the transmission of an unnecessary channel to use a network. A DVR(Digital Video Recorder)(200) processes video data received from plural monitoring cameras(100a~100n) and transmits the received video data into plural channels. Plural hosts(400a~400n) are connected to the DVR through a network(300). The DVR includes a selective broadcasting processing unit(210). The selective broadcasting processing unit transmits broadcasting signals to all hosts selectively in only a channel which at least one host requests out of the channels.
