PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of reducing fitting-in resistance. SOLUTION: A relative movement of a fit-in detection member 30 is regulated against a female side connector housing 10 in vertical and lateral directions crossed a fit-in direction of both connector housings 10, 40. When the fit-in detection member 30 is in a standby position, the fit-in detection member 30 is in no contact with a support section 48 of the male side connector housing 40. When the fit-in detection member 30 is in a detection position, a pressure section 32 of the fit-in detection member 30 pushes the support section 48 in order to regulate the relative movement between the fit-in detection member 30 and a male side connector housing 40. When fitting in both connector housings 10, 40, the fitting-in resistance caused by the pressure of the pressure section 32 to the support section 48 is not generated if the fit-in detection member 30 is maintained in a standby position.
