PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of exhibiting high performance on a road and a rail. SOLUTION: The tire 16 is attached to a vehicle used on the road and on the rail of a track. A circumferential main groove 38 extending in a circumferential direction is formed on the tread surface 36 while repeating folding and bending to right and left sides. A width Wb in the axial direction of the circumferential main groove 38 is made to 25% or smaller of a rail width Wr. Preferably, the two circumferential main grooves 38 are formed on the tread surfaces, and an area R1 between the main grooves clamped by the two circumferential main grooves 38 is formed. Preferably, during track traveling, 70% or larger of a contact area S1 of the tread surface 36 with the rail R can exist in an area between the main grooves. Preferably, in the area R1 between the main grooves, a tread pattern is constituted by siping. Preferably, the materials are different in tread rubber (A) constituting the tread surface in the area between the main grooves and in the tread rubber (B) of the other portion.
