The present invention relates to an apparatus for detecting a specific object. The apparatus comprises: a radar unit radiating a radio wave to a front side of a vehicle and receiving a returned signal to output signal power according to a distance; a power sum output unit outputting a sum of the signal power per the distance from the signal power according to the distance; a specific object determination unit outputting a specific object target and a distance with the specific object target by considering the sum of the signal power within a pre-configured distance; and a tracking processing unit detecting the specific object target as a specific object, by using the outputted distance with the specific object target. According to the present invention, even if the returned signal is weak, the apparatus may detect the specific object in the front side of the vehicle. |
