This invention enables a communication device, which supports a plurality of operation modes, to cause a device on the other end of communication to acquire more appropriate information. In a communication device that is capable of executing wireless communications using first and second communication systems and that has, as operation modes used in the second communication system, a first operation mode for communicating with the other communication device in a wireless network generated by the communication device and a second operation mode for communicating with the other communication device in a wireless network generated by an external device, when the first operation mode is selected, a storage unit is caused to store, as information the other communication device is caused to acquire by use of the first communication system, information required to connect to the wireless network generated by the communication device, and when the second operation mode is selected, the storage unit is caused to store, as information the other communication device is caused to acquire by use of the first communication system, information required to connect to the wireless network generated by the external device. |
