PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a transfer electric field at a transfer part in a system omitting primary transfer.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus applies a high voltage during image formation to a charging roller to set a desired potential Vd to the surface of a photoreceptor drum, and subsequently sets a potential Vitb to an intermediate transfer belt with a second power source that is a constant voltage power supply to execute primary transfer with a difference in potential between the photoreceptor drum and intermediate transfer belt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
