PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television set 10 which allows a viewer to easily select a desired program from among many programs.SOLUTION: The television set 10 of an embodiment comprises: a tuner 11 for receiving programs of plural channels simultaneously; an information acquisition unit 13C for acquiring program information; a setting unit 13E for setting a retrieval condition; and an extraction unit 13F for extracting a program whose information coincides with the retrieval condition. The television set 10 further comprises an extracted program guide generator 13G which generates an extracted program guide ST1 in which program cells which display information on the extracted programs extracted by the extraction unit are arranged along a date axis and a time axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
