1. A printing device comprising:
an inkjet head having plural heads with a nozzle row; configured to clean the inkjet head by either a first cleaning method that simultaneously suctions ink from the plural heads of the inkjet head, or
a second cleaning method that separately suctions ink from plural heads of the inkjet head; and comprising a control unit that selects either the first cleaning method or the second cleaning method as the method of cleaning the inkjet head,
the control unit detecting if there are missing nozzles in the heads, and selecting whichever of the first cleaning method and the second cleaning method requires less time for cleaning as the cleaning method when cleaning the inkjet head.
