An information processing apparatus is provided with: an information acquisition unit that acquires motion state information indicating a motion state of a user; and a display control unit that performs, on the basis of the motion state information acquired by the information acquisition unit, display control on an image displayed by an eyepiece optical system the length of which in a shorter-length direction of a region in which light is emitted toward the pupil of the user than the other direction of the region is not greater than the upper limit of change in the diameter of the pupil.
