A system of modulating and demodulating a time by colors comprises: two pulsing lamps (6), a color chip unit (1), a pulsing lamp drive parameter configuring unit (2), a time modulation database (3), a time modulation unit (4) and a time display unit (5). The method comprises: modulating, by the time modulation unit (4), hour and minute data of a current time such that the hour and minute data correspond to pulsing lamp drive parameters in the time modulation database (3); separately driving, by the time display unit (5), the pulsing lamps (6) representing the hours and minutes to display colors; and demodulating, by a user and according to the colors of the pulsing lamps (6), current time information. The system achieves, on a wearable device such as a smart bracelet, etc., a time display function, thereby enabling the user to obtain the current time information anytime anywhere. Also provided is a method for modulating and demodulating time by colors. |
