<p>The snap fastening wiper arm (40) is pushed into the slotted end of the wiper drive head (20) which is rigidly bolted to the drive stub (10). A spring retainer (30) inside the slot presses the wiper arm over a retaining catch (44) for a simple snap fastening. No pivot action is required for the drive head. The sprung retainer is a curved spring while the retaining catch is either on the inside wall of the drive head or on the wiper arm itself, in which case the spring has a hole to fit over the catch. Axial location is by a second catch on the wiper arm locating on the outside of the slot.</p> |
