The safety device prevents a lifting platform or the like from tilting due to overloading. The lifting platform has a load carrier at the free end of an extendable and pivotable cantilever arm. Due to the safety device, the cantilever arm can only be lowered if it is simultaneously retracted. The safety device has a hydraulic circuit which is designed in such a way that the pressure medium which flows out of a double-acting hydraulic cylinder during the lowering of the cantilever arm is passed into a double-acting hydraulic cylinder, by which the cantilever arm is retracted. |
