PURPOSE: To solve such problem that it is difficult to detect an address in the case of using grooves showing a favorable recording characteristic as a track, and it is also difficult to detect an address in a system in which lands and grooves are used as recording tracks. CONSTITUTION: A recording/reproduction processing part 5 is provided with an optical head means for irradiating an optical disk 6 with a spot of condensed laser light and also receiving return light refracted by the optical disk 6. An address information generating part 7 generates address information from the return light received by the optical head means in the recording/reproduction processing part 5. A tilt compensation part 16 detects an inclination (a tilt) to the optical disk 6 of the optical head, and corrects the inclination of the optical head according to this detected tilt.
