<p>Effective treatment of hemorrhoids is provided by applying to the navel a non-toxic topical formulation of a terpene in a skin wetting carrier medium. The preferred terpenes are camphor and menthol. The carrier medium can be a liquid, cream, ointment, jelly, or any other convenient form, including sprays and aerosol sprays, and is periodically applied to the navel of the patient over a period of about one or two weeks.</p> |
