PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remedy for cancer by utilizing a new immunological measure. SOLUTION: This remedy for cancer is obtained by utilizing an effect of a natural killer T cell (NKT cell) on a natural killer P1 (NKR-P1) as an index, wherein the NKR-P1 is concerned with activation of the NKT cell. The remedy is invented based on a discovery that the NKT cell carrying immunity to the cancer has a new antigen receptor, i.e. Vα24Vβ11, which is concerned with the activation of the NKT cell, and further that the action of the Vα24β11 is quiet different from that of the NKR-P1 which is an already-known antigen receptor of the NKT cell and further concerned with the activation of the NKT cell. |
