PURPOSE:To correct a misprinted image easily and securely, by providing a white ink layer comprising an opaque white coloring agent layer and a thermal transfer layer on a base. CONSTITUTION:The opaque white coloring agent layer 3 and the thermal transfer layer 4 are sequentially laminated on the base 1 to provide the white ink layer 2. When correcting a misprinted image 5 on a copying sheet 6, the material comprising the base 1 and the ink layer 2 is placed on the sheet 6 with the ink layer 2 faced to the misprinted image 5. A predetermined part of the thermal transfer layer 4 is melted by heating from the back side of the base 1 or from the back side of the sheet 6, thereby transferring the melted part onto the misprinted image 5 together with a corresponding part of the white coloring agent layer 3. As a result, the misprinted image 5 is covered up by the white ink layer 2a. Accordingly, since the corrected surface is sufficiently smooth, no trouble occurs in fixing a reprinted new image. |
