PURPOSE:To improve assembling accuracy and enable heavy cutting by improving the adjusting mechanism and removing the backlash of a micro-bore tool. CONSTITUTION:A drawing thread 5, which is provided with a washer 24, is screwed into a tapped hole 25 provided on the rear end of a cartridge 6. In this case, backlash between the outer periphery thread 11 of the cartridge 6 and the inner periphery thread 10 of a scale ring 4 is removed due to a spring 26 enclosed in a holding bore 22. Being held by the drawing thread 5, the cartridge 6 is provided with high rigidity and highly reliable accuracy, which means that the tool can particularly stand heavy cutting applications. |
