A transportable bridge comprising first and second sections, each of the fir st and second sections being aligned in a side by side relationship wherein the first side of the first section is in a side by side relationship with the second side of the second section, and there are provided a plurality of attachment means for securing the sections together and with the attachment means being adapted to transfer loads between the first and second sections. The transportable bridge is suitable for use in operations such as logging wherein the requirement for the bridge is a short - term one.
