SEALING STRUCTURE BETWEEN CYLINDER HEAD AND HEAD COVER OF ENGINE

PURPOSE: To provide equal interferences in each part of a sealing member regardless of the number of used bolts so that the sealing member can constantly exercise a favorable sealing function in a sealing structure between a cylinder head and a head cover. CONSTITUTION: In this sealing structure, the sealing member 72 is interposed between the cylinder head 8 with at least an intermediate part of an upper end face where a valve system cam chamber 21 is opened comprising a slant face 11c, and the head cover 71 coupled by bolts to the upper end face of this cylinder head 8 and closing the valve system cam chamber 21. A fitting wall part 71b fitting to an inner circumferential face of the valve system cam chamber 21 is formed in the head cover 71, and the sealing member 72 closely contacting an inner circumferential face of the cylinder head 8 is attached to a seal groove 90 provided in an outer circumferential face of the fitting wall part 71b.
