PURPOSE: To provide a webbing winder for surely cancelling the pull preventive condition of a webbing and facilitating the control of a V-gear reversing angle. CONSTITUTION: A guide pin 16h is erected on a lock plate 16 for the webbing winder and a corresponding guide hole 18b is formed in a V-gear 18. The guide hole 18b consists of a first hole portion 60, a second hole portion 62 and a third hole portion 64, and an initial condition is established by the guide pin 16h being located in the first hole portion 60. When relative rotation between the V-gear 18 and a spool 14 occurs, the guide pin 16h moves from the first hole portion 60 to the second hole portion 62, and in this process, the V-gear 18 is thrust by the guide pin 16h and reversed for unlocking operation. The thrust of forcing the V-gear reversing angle to be a set value or larger, if operated by the guide pin 16h, can be cancelled by escaping the guide pin 16h to the third hole portion 64.
