METHOD FOR PRESSURE WELDING OF METAL AND PRESSURE WELDING STRUCTURE BETWEEN ALUMINUM AND OTHER METAL

PURPOSE: To enable press-contact between aluminum and other metal such as iron by embedding granular inclusions on the surface of aluminum and using as a welding material a metal for making an alloy with aluminum. CONSTITUTION: In laminating aluminum with such metal as iron, copper and stainless steel, a laminating metal which is used for making an alloy with aluminum and which has a melting point lower than aluminum is preliminarily stuck on the laminating surface of a metal 2 such as iron. Then, between the two, inclusions 5 are interposed which are buried in aluminum physically destroying the oxide film of the aluminum; a pressure is applied equal to or above the level required to bury the inclusions 5 onto the aluminum 1 at a temperature higher than the proximity of the melting point of the stuck metal; and both metals are thereby laminated. Thus, it is possible to join aluminum with other metal by eliminating the fault due to the oxide film of aluminum without flux.
