PURPOSE: To make the protruding part of the slit mark of a steam vent formed to the surface of a foamed molded object inconspicuous by assembling two or more members to form the steam vent and using the gap between the members as a steam passage. CONSTITUTION: A steam vent 20 is constituted by assembling an outer cylindrical member 21 and the columnar member 22 inserted in the member 21 by using pins 24. The gap 23 formed between the outer cylindrical member 21 and the columnar member 22 is used as a steam passage. For example, the width of the gap 23 can be reduced to about 0.1mm. Therefore, the steam vent mark on the surface of a molded object produced by the foam molding of beads can be made more inconspicuous. By making the cross section of the steam passage circular, the cross area corresponding to that of a conventional slit is obtained and steam only necessary for the foaming of beads can be supplied. |
