<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a toner resin with low fixing temperature by fusing and mixing a mixture containing a first polyester resin having a low glossiness and a second polyester resin having high glossiness to form a toner resin mixture having a middle glossiness. SOLUTION: A first partially cross-linked polyester resin having a low glossiness and a second polyester resin having a high glossiness are melted and mixed together under high shearing condition to form a toner resin having a middle glossiness. In this method, the first polyester resin is present in an amount of about 20-80wt.% of the resin mixture, and it contains about 20-40wt.% of a crosslinked gel content, and has a glossiness of about 5-10 gloss units. The resulting fused and mixed toner resin mixture has a glossiness of 10-25 gloss units.</p> |
