PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire for medical use which has excellent visibility by a fiberscope within a body and is easy to be inserted into the body. SOLUTION: The outer periphery of a core consisting of twisted wires 11a and 11b is coated with a transparent resin layer 12, and the outer periphery of the layer 12 is coated with a hydrophilic resin layer 13 to form the guide wire 10. At least one wire 11a has a color different from that of the other wire 11b, thereby a spiral pattern is formed at the core 11. Since the layer 12 prevents the wires 11a and 11b from being frayed, the guide wire is safe, and sliding property is given by the layer 13. Furthermore, the spiral pattern formed at the core 11 is visually recognized through the layer 12 and the layer 13, thereby visibility by the fiberscope becomes excellent. |
