PURPOSE: A signal processing device for a radiation thermometer is provided in a module structure by separative small units to be repaired or exchanged by the modulated corresponding units instead of being repaired on the whole, thereby reducing the time and cost for the repair. CONSTITUTION: A signal processing device for a radiation thermometer includes an optical detecting element for collecting radiant energy emitted from an object to measure a temperature and converting optical signals to electric signals, a signal amplifier for amplifying energy converted by the optical detecting element, a signal linear programming element for converting non-linear index function output from the signal amplifier to linear functions, an A/D converter for converting analogue signals output from the signal linear programming element to digital signals, a main body circuit part(10) having modulated units of communication ports for outputting the digital signals, and a signal processing part(12) having a main signal processing unit(28) remotely connected to the main body circuit part for finally computing a radiation temperature on the basis of various initial information input from the outside and a display part(30) for outputting the radiation temperature information computed by the main signal processing unit.
